What Sequoia is Doing for Our Employees During #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth


At Sequoia, we remain positive and upbeat as a company, but we also have our ups, downs, and “ok” days as employees. Now more than ever, it is a time for us to focus on our mental health and wellness. In honor of Mental Health Month, Sequoia is excited to launch new programs focused just on that!



Rest and Recharge Day - On Monday, May 11th we gave our whole company a paid day off. No emails, and no phone calls. Just a focus to rest and recharge.


Wellness Series - Stress, anxiety, and uncertainty are all feelings we’ve experienced during this pandemic. After receiving feedback from our teams about how they were doing, we decided to offer them solutions and resources to help cope with their feelings. Our Wellness Series is centered around mental health and is a tool we are providing to help work through and overcome these feelings. We are bringing in guest speakers to help teach new techniques and help our employees build new skill sets to overcome challenges. Our goal is to get through this together even stronger. 



Steps Challenge - Our employees are lacing up their tennis shoes and stepping into action with our Steps Challenge. From May 15th - June 15th our teams will work together to reach our journey goal of 20,000 miles. By using the app MoveSpring, our employees can stay connected, compete in challenges, and push each other to get those steps in. Our employees can also win different prizes by walking the most steps individually and as a team, staying consistent with their daily steps, and our group journey as a company.
