WALNUT CREEK, CA, September 26, 2021 - Sequoia Equities has been awarded a 2021 Top Workplaces honor by The Oregonian/Oregon Live for the fifth consecutive year. Out of 55 businesses in the small employer category (35 to 99 employees in Oregon and/or southwest Washington), Sequoia ranked 14th.The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage, LLC. The anonymous survey uniquely measures 15 culture drivers that are critical to the success of any organization: including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.
As an essential business during the pandemic, 2021 brought on new challenges for Sequoia. Not only did the organization need to find ways to keep their team members, residents and prospective residents safe, it was imperative that the organization’s culture and values remained a top priority. Sequoia hosted monthly company-wide Huddle Ups, provided Rest & Recharge Days, and brought in guest speakers focused on mental health and wellness. Sequoia is ranked 14th in the small employers category out of 55 other businesses in Oregon and southwest Washington.
"The synergy between customers and team members at Sequoia has placed the company in the Oregon Top 100 for 5 consecutive years. It shows year after year. With so many unknowns, and health and safety protocols in place, our teams are proud of the award, and of what has been accomplished this year”, says Jacqi Payton, Regional Portfolio Manager.
"During this very challenging time, Top Workplaces has proven to be a beacon of light for organizations, as well as a sign of resiliency and strong business performance," said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. "When you give your employees a voice, you come together to navigate challenges and shape your path forward. Top Workplaces draw on real-time insights into what works best for their organization, so they can make informed decisions that have a positive impact on their people and their business."
2021 marks the 10th year that The Oregonian/OregonLive has partnered with the research firm Energage to determine top places to work in Oregon and southwest Washington. Eligible organizations can be public, private, nonprofit, or government, but must have at least 35 employees in Oregon or Southwest Washington.
