WALNUT CREEK, CA - In response to the devastating fires impacting the Los Angeles metro area, Sequoia Equities has reinstated its Open Door Program to offer housing relief to those displaced by the disaster. Through this initiative, Sequoia is extending reduced rental rates, along with waived fees and deposits, to affected individuals and families. With participating communities across Laguna Niguel, Foothill Ranch, Riverside, Simi Valley, Aliso Viejo, and Alta Loma, Sequoia aims to offer flexible leasing options to meet the immediate needs of fire victims. These homes also offer a wide range of perks including pet-friendly homes with no breed restrictions for dogs, making it easier for families to stay together during this challenging time.
Individuals in need of assistance are encouraged to contact OpenDoor@SeqEq.com with questions and their preferred locations.
Beyond the “Open Door” Program, Sequoia has launched a company-wide donation drive benefiting the Red Cross to help aid wildfire relief efforts. Additionally, Sequoia's Southern California communities have been designated as donation centers, collecting essential items and monetary contributions for those affected through the end of January. To further support recovery efforts, Sequoia team members are being offered paid time off to volunteer in their local communities.
"Sequoia is deeply committed to supporting our neighbors in Southern California during this time of crisis,” said Rita Crawford, Executive Vice President. “When we launched the Open Door Program in 2017 during the North Bay Firestorm, we saw firsthand the profound impact it had on those in need of housing relief. By reinstating this initiative, we hope to provide comfort and support to people displaced by the fires and offer a sense of stability as they navigate the road ahead.”
